For those of you looking to make a positive contribution to your community, we have a wonderful opportunity! The Newark
Day Nursery and Children's Center Board of Directors has openings which it is seeking to fill. The current Board is a
very dedicated group who look forward to welcoming new members wanting to share in NDNCC's mission.
The time commitment is not burdensome. Board meetings occur every three months and last about 1 1/2 to 2 hours. In addition,
members are requested to work on at least one monthly committee. Board responsibilities include: setting policy, determining
the budget, monitoring the budget, attending occasional on-site events, assisting with fundraising efforts and making a
yearly self determined contribution to the Center.
If you have knowledge/expertise in the areas of accounting, development, facilities, finance, marketing, public relations
or early childhood education, we would be especially interested in hearing from you. Current and former NDNCC parents are
also encouraged to participate. Please give careful consideration to this request. All names (accompanied by resumes) are
due to the membership committee on or before November 1. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions or would
